When you take photographs, this sign takes on a whole new meaning.

Any of the following:

• Stop! Danger
• Do not Enter
• No Tresspassing
• No Entry

In ANY language should all read the exact same thing to a photographer:

• Wait until there’s no one around, then jump this fucking barrier. The shot of a lifetime could be waiting.

A fucking ton of my shots don’t come from safety or comfort. To get that shot, to get that perfect angle, sometimes you’ve got to be willing to go the distance. Break into an abandoned house for a photoshoot. Jump a safety barrier and go explore the wilderness. Climb a drainpipe and get roof access. You may not be rewarded every time, and you may well get fucked over by the authorities, but a wise man once told me: Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained.

There are no rules in photography, so it only makes sense that you should have a liberal attitude towards certain laws.
